Valtteri Happonen is from Hyvinkää, Finland, and resides currently in Sweden. He holds a bachelor's degree in music composition from Örebro University, and has written music that has been performed across a range of styles and formats, including orchestral, solo piano, musical theatre, and big band. His work often features a strong emotional and narrative focus.
His most recent chamber orchestra work Forgotten was premiered by the Swedish Chamber Orchestra in Örebro Concert Hall in May 2026 as part of a collaboration with Örebro University.
